A Terrafold Tale Begins…

About Skia Nox:

Skia Nox is the collaborative pen name of a creative husband and wife team based in sunny (and Dry) California, where they transform their shared love of epic fantasies and timeless romances into intricate worlds of magic, mystery, and moral complexity.

Their writing partnership began simple: “I have an idea, but we need a dry erase board.” Several hundred thousand words later, The Soralyce Saga was born—a tale of forbidden magic and love, hidden identities, and the courage it takes to embrace who you truly are when the world demands you be something else.

Skia Nox creates stories where magic always comes with a price, heroes are beautifully flawed, and nothing is quite as simple as it seems. Their collaborative process involves countless hours of plotting, regular debates over character motivations, and the occasional argument over coffee in small coffee shops about who gets final say on whether a beloved character goes through the next traumatic event (spoiler: they usually compromise).

When not writing, they work and explore California’s diverse landscapes; from desert expanses to coastal cliffs, finding inspiration in the natural beauty that mirrors the varied worlds they create. They believe the best stories challenge readers, feature characters worth rooting for (even when they make terrible decisions), and leave you desperate to know what happens next.

The Soralyce saga
book one

Soralyce Noctus has survived her entire life by appearing powerless.
Abandoned as an infant at the Phyllion border with nothing but a cryptic note and frostbitten scars, Sora was raised by a legendary Elven warrior in a world where magic is everything and humans are nothing. For seventeen years, she believed she had no gifts—until the day forbidden white light erupted from her and saved her best friend from a near death experience.

Now that power threatens to destroy everything.
Accepted into the brutal Elven Academy Trials, Sora must hide her impossible magic while passing tests designed for those with elemental gifts.
The white light Sora carries doesn’t exist—It was deliberately erased from history. And someone is destroying temples across the world to find it or find her.

But Sora catches the eye of Lieutenant Axlar Starwyn, the youngest, most lethal officer in Phyllion’s military, and he sees through her lies.  As war erupts and mysterious creatures hunt her, he becomes the only person who can teach her to control the devastating power consuming her from within.

In the end, Sora faces an impossible choice: Let everyone she loves die or unleash magic that will expose her and change everything.

Some secrets were buried for a reason…
